A twenty year industry veteran, Loic is currently the localization strategist with Intel’s in-house localization team. On top of managing advanced localization projects involving language models and multilingual speech recognition engines, Loïc also has direct ownership for functional areas such as Innovation and Business Operations. In particular, he is the sponsor of a recent initiative to deploy a localization-focused enterprise service bus, making it easy and efficient for customers across the corporation to access localization capabilities provided by his team, today and in the future. Loïc has been a speaker at: IUC 2013, LocWorld 2013, TAUS 2014.
Ben Cornelius
Director of Localization at PayPal
Ben has worked within the localization industry for 20 years in a wide array of production and operations management roles. He has a broad working experience in government service as the language service provider, the language technology vendor and often on the buyer side, providing many viewpoints of the industry and it’s evolution.
Mika Pehkonen
Documentation and Localization Manager at F-Secure Corporation
Mika is the documentation and localization manager at F-Secure, a Finnish developer of antivirus, data storage and intrusion prevention software. Mika has degrees in translation and management, has worked as a translator and technical writer and is a certified scrum master. Mika has over ten years of experience in localization and is a frequent speaker at industry events.
Patrick McLoughlin
Senior Localization Program Manager at Eventbrite
Patrick is Senior Localization Program Manager at Eventbrite, where he manages global simships of the popular ticketing platform in 14 markets. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the language industry ranging from translation and interpreting, language teaching and multilingual desktop publishing to subtitling, machine translation and lexicography. Prior to Eventbrite, Patrick spent five years at Yahoo!, as both Localization Project Manager and Terminology Manager.
